This elevator is HUGE at 10,000 pounds at this museum in the Technology/Economics exhibits. I believe this is a Minnesota Elevator but I don't know for sure exactly. As far as I know this is a bottom-drive traction elevator and this is VERY BUSY. To the parking garage below there are no public stairs or escalators to get down there so this elevator is the ONLY solution to get down to the garage

Who discoverd America ( The New world) and when. Most believe it was Christopher Columbus in 1492. Could it have been the Vikings (Norseman) in 1362, 130 years earlier? See for yourself and make your own opinion in this revealing documentary about just that. The Kensington Runestone is a 200-pound (91 kg) slab of greywacke covered in runes on its face and side that supporters claim is evidence that Scandinavian explorers reached the middle of North America in the 14th century although experts identify it as a 19th-century hoax. Iron is appropriately named as it is literally built on a mountain of iron ore deposits. Mountain Iron is still an active and prosperous mining town today, so there is much to see there.

N.M.P.I. was the first group to ever be invited to investigate this location. In one of the old buildings located at the site (an old bunk house) we captured this anomaly. It appears on the left-hand side of the video. We searched for any indication that it was an insect but can find nothing at all. We are unsure just what it is. Could it possibly be a ghost? Sure it could be but you decide what you think.
